The former building at 116 Watton St Werribee was built in the 1950's by a local builder for George Gross Building Supplies. Later on a new partnership was formed and the name changed to Bildex general hardware and building supplies.
Mr W F Gordon purchased the property in the early 1960's and ran a General Engineering supply business incorporating the local Honda and Stihle agency. The style of the business evolved and its ownership transferred down through the Gordon generations until the property was sold in October 2009 to local developers , the Madok Group.
Today , March 2014 the former building is now a memory and you will see a modern residential apartment building incorporating basement car parking & storage, ground retail shops and then 3 levels of apartments.
